Recently, in January 2024 my aunt passed away in Tampa. My husband & I live in Punta Gorda FL and we needed to find a good caring funeral home. I called Aikens Funeral Home and drove there. Upon meeting Cheryl I knew we had found the right place. She is a wonderful funeral director. I never looked anywhere else. She handled everything w her wonderful staff. Samantha and everyone was kind, caring, respectful, and so supportive & helpful. I can’t say enough how grateful we were to have them take excellent care of my aunt’s entire funeral. She even priced everything reasonably. I highly recommend Aikens. 10 ⭐️

I would like to publicly thank Aikens Funeral Home for they’re service. From start to the finish the service was phenomenal. Ms.Cheryl showed gratitude & generosity as soon as we walked in her office. “Joe” one of the sweetest person I know, he had my mother looking so beautiful!! When he told me he would be dressing her & doing her makeup I almost had doubt, but once I saw her I could do nothing but hug & thank him with tears in my eyes.. They treat you like family & have been reaching out checking on me & my family! I thank you all for everything!

What I’ve learned is that in the most difficult times, the person or people that you’ve never met before will be the ones that help you the most. That was a lesson that I learned by just picking up the phone and Mrs.Cheryl was on the other line. Mrs.Cheryl is the owner of Aikens Funeral Home located in Tampa Florida. My father, William F Morales passed away. It had been years since I’ve seen or heard of my father. My father was living in Tampa. Unfortunately, my father passed. I am not from Tampa Florida. So going through this process was very difficult because I had no family to turn to. But the night that I made the phone call to Mrs.Cheryl I felt a sense of ease and peace. When I made arrangements I met Mr. Jones who is absolutely fantastic walking me through the process and making the arrangements for my father absolutely with Respect and with Grace. I pray that I never have to go through this again, but in life, there are no guarantees. Except the people from Mrs.Cheryl to Mr.Jones and the Aikens Funeral Home Family will be there for you in the most difficult time that anyone has to go through. I am truly blessed and fortunate to have made that phone call to the Aikens Funeral Home. I truly appreciate all you have done for me and my Family. God Bless.

So where do I start…from the very very beginning when Aikens received my dad from hospice, I knew we were in good hands! The driver prayed with me right in the room before departing with him and gave me some very comforting words. The rest of the process was just as peaceful and comforting as I worked with Alexis, Cynthia, Tom, and Deirdre to bring all the details together in such a short time of 5 days! Obituary, Death Certificate, Program, Memorial Video, Music, Flowers, Clothing, Limos, etc…a lot has to get done in short order and the team works diligently to make sure it does. The day of the funeral services, 10/15, was EVERYTHING for me! I got to see all the details we discussed and plan come together as close to flawless as you can get and all I had to do was show up and share a Reflection of my Dad. EVERYTHING was beautiful and done in excellence. Family and Friends all said the service was beautiful, uplifting/not sad and that our dad looked amazingly like himself. All wins! And their service doesn’t stop there. They have checked in on us after the services - still comforting still fostering healing! During a time of loss…this is the level of professionalism and service that you need in order to stay emotionally sane and heal. I am forever grateful for working with Cheryl and her team at Aikens. Ms. Cheryl Aikens and her staff went above and beyond to provide service to our family after the loss of my brother. They were sensitive to our needs and concerns during the pandemic and although our service was a modest one, they were professional, courteous, and friendly at every turn. It was a real benefit to have the service streamed virtually for the family and friends who could not be present physically. This is the second time that I have used their services and I would not hesitate to do so again.

Worst funeral home on the planet! Don't let them near your deceased loved ones!! Liars, incompetent, deceitful and disrespectful staff and substandard service! I have no respect for Cheryl, her staff and the owner. Our immediate family unanimously decided not to use their funeral home in Tampa to handle the services of our terminally ill loved one. They totally devastated our family members and they are still upset to this day by the way Cheryl and her staff handled our deceased loved one's funeral service that occurred 2 years ago. Never again. She made no attempt to resolve the complaint we made, nor did she bother to contact myself nor my aunt to resolve the issue, she unprofessionally contacted an outside party that had nothing to do with our complaint. Shady! Never pay them up front to handle you loved ones either. Video tape and record every contact you have with Cheryl and her staff!
