Friendly staff. Showed care through the entire process, helped me with all details. This was my first time making funeral arrangements and Aikens made process seamless. They paid great care with preparing mom for the viewing, making her look very natural and peaceful. I would definitely encourage them to always test their live stream equipment, hours before each service.

My mom passed away on April 25th and we entrusted Aikens Funeral Home with her care. They took care of all of my family's needs from the start. They coordinated our payment to the cemetery even when a staff member from the cemetery said that it couldn't be done. They walked us thru the process of making the arrangements. Their driver was very professional and courteous. It has been a couple of months and they have called several times to check on us. We would recommend them for the Tampa Bay area.

I would like to publicly thank Aikens Funeral Home for they’re service. From start to the finish the service was phenomenal. Ms.Cheryl showed gratitude & generosity as soon as we walked in her office. “Joe” one of the sweetest person I know, he had my mother looking so beautiful!! When he told me he would be dressing her & doing her makeup I almost had doubt, but once I saw her I could do nothing but hug & thank him with tears in my eyes.. They treat you like family & have been reaching out checking on me & my family! I thank you all for everything!

Every time the staff were very professional, punctual, very caring & concerning of the feelings of my family & myself. They also checked on us several times throughout the weeks following the burial of our loved ones & might I add, all my deceased family members looked VERY VERY VERY nice as if they were sleeping in their caskets. What I’ve learned is that in the most difficult times, the person or people that you’ve never met before will be the ones that help you the most. That was a lesson that I learned by just picking up the phone and Mrs.Cheryl was on the other line. Mrs.Cheryl is the owner of Aikens Funeral Home located in Tampa Florida. My father, William F Morales passed away. It had been years since I’ve seen or heard of my father. My father was living in Tampa. Unfortunately, my father passed. I am not from Tampa Florida. So going through this process was very difficult because I had no family to turn to. But the night that I made the phone call to Mrs.Cheryl I felt a sense of ease and peace. When I made arrangements I met Mr. Jones who is absolutely fantastic walking me through the process and making the arrangements for my father absolutely with Respect and with Grace. I pray that I never have to go through this again, but in life, there are no guarantees. Except the people from Mrs.Cheryl to Mr.Jones and the Aikens Funeral Home Family will be there for you in the most difficult time that anyone has to go through. Aikens funeral home is a Godsend. The attention to detail, the professionalism and the genuine compassion shown to me and my entire family made the task of burying our loved one stress free. There was no toil and no pressure AT ALL,in Working with Sheryl and her entire staff. They took care of my WHOLE family. Expectations were exceeded. A week after the homegoing for my dad…their “after care team” called to check on us and to see if there was anything more they could do for us….yes!!! They have an aftercare team! My experience at Aikens Funeral Home was very pleasant. The entire staff is so caring and compassionate. The atmosphere is pleasant, and every one is right there to help you every step of the way. Just to name a few, La Cheryl was always there, and took her time in helping me with the arrangements, she is very easy to talk to, and very understanding, and her staff under her are the same. Hylarie so sweet and very helpful, losing a family member is not easy to process , but Hylarie made it so easy for me. I wanted to make changes on the program, and she made it so easy for me. She is so very understanding. I really appreciate it. Deirdre made sure that after everything was done, could they be any further with assistance. Making sure that I was okay and processing it day by day with phone calls and texts. All done with a very pleasant voice. Tom a very caring person, and he did not miss a beat, making sure that everything is done decently and in order. I remember he told me whatever I needed done he will make it happen, and it was done. Joe very quiet and pleasant person, I would say that he has a quiet spirit. So caring and understanding, you can count on him to assist you. The overall staff is amazing, so professional at what they do, very professional in their dress code. I was well pleased.

So where do I start…from the very very beginning when Aikens received my dad from hospice, I knew we were in good hands! The driver prayed with me right in the room before departing with him and gave me some very comforting words. The rest of the process was just as peaceful and comforting as I worked with Alexis, Cynthia, Tom, and Deirdre to bring all the details together in such a short time of 5 days! Obituary, Death Certificate, Program, Memorial Video, Music, Flowers, Clothing, Limos, etc…a lot has to get done in short order and the team works diligently to make sure it does. The day of the funeral services, 10/15, was EVERYTHING for me! I got to see all the details we discussed and plan come together as close to flawless as you can get and all I had to do was show up and share a Reflection of my Dad. EVERYTHING was beautiful and done in excellence. Family and Friends all said the service was beautiful, uplifting/not sad and that our dad looked amazingly like himself. All wins! And their service doesn’t stop there. They have checked in on us after the services - still comforting still fostering healing! During a time of loss…this is the level of professionalism and service that you need in order to stay emotionally sane and heal. I am forever grateful for working with Cheryl and her team at Aikens. Thank you all again and stay blessed! ❤️
