So where do I start…from the very very beginning when Aikens received my dad from hospice, I knew we were in good hands! The driver prayed with me right in the room before departing with him and gave me some very comforting words. The rest of the process was just as peaceful and comforting as I worked with Alexis, Cynthia, Tom, and Deirdre to bring all the details together in such a short time of 5 days! Obituary, Death Certificate, Program, Memorial Video, Music, Flowers, Clothing, Limos, etc…a lot has to get done in short order and the team works diligently to make sure it does. The day of the funeral services, 10/15, was EVERYTHING for me! I got to see all the details we discussed and plan come together as close to flawless as you can get and all I had to do was show up and share a Reflection of my Dad. EVERYTHING was beautiful and done in excellence. Family and Friends all said the service was beautiful, uplifting/not sad and that our dad looked amazingly like himself. All wins! And their service doesn’t stop there. They have checked in on us after the services - still comforting still fostering healing!
