So where do I start…from the very very beginning when Aikens received my dad from hospice, I knew we were in good hands! The driver prayed with me right in the room before departing with him and gave me some very comforting words. The rest of the process was just as peaceful and comforting as I worked with Alexis, Cynthia, Tom, and Deirdre to bring all the details together in such a short time of 5 days! Obituary, Death Certificate, Program, Memorial Video, Music, Flowers, Clothing, Limos, etc…a lot has to get done in short order and the team works diligently to make sure it does. The day of the funeral services, 10/15, was EVERYTHING for me! I got to see all the details we discussed and plan come together as close to flawless as you can get and all I had to do was show up and share a Reflection of my Dad. EVERYTHING was beautiful and done in excellence. Family and Friends all said the service was beautiful, uplifting/not sad and that our dad looked amazingly like himself. All wins! And their service doesn’t stop there. They have checked in on us after the services - still comforting still fostering healing! During a time of loss…this is the level of professionalism and service that you need in order to stay emotionally sane and heal. I am forever grateful for working with Cheryl and her team at Aikens. Thank you all again and stay blessed! ❤️

I have been acquainted with Aikens funeral home for a number of years, being a part of the Ballard/Miller family we have entrusted several family members to the care of Aikens. My in-laws Jack & Fannie Miller, brother in-law Jack Miller, My Mother Minnie Ballard, brother Carl "Hawk" Ballard and most recent February 2020 my Uncle Joe Ballard who was a military veteran. The staff was awesome! Handled everything with the VA (which was overwhelming), kept me informed, was always accommodating of my frequent changes. Wow, what an experience with this funeral home!!!! They were so accommodating, very professional, clean, smell good, very helpful in all areas. The way they handle my family was like nothing I’ve ever experienced. From them being knowledgeable in the things we didn’t know, they helped us organize the whole process. Even the sound system was great, and the projector screen was very convenient to show the slide show. You even had a where we could use a usb drive so that the video would run smoothly. One of the best let’s were that for the ones that couldn’t attend, you provided a live stream so everyone could view it. From the pricing, to arranging the funeral service, the repast. I would recommend this company to any of my family members, friends, anyone. Thank you for making this experience such an easy transition!!!!! You guys went above and beyond and our family thank you

Ms. Cheryl Aikens and her staff went above and beyond to provide service to our family after the loss of my brother. They were sensitive to our needs and concerns during the pandemic and although our service was a modest one, they were professional, courteous, and friendly at every turn. It was a real benefit to have the service streamed virtually for the family and friends who could not be present physically. This is the second time that I have used their services and I would not hesitate to do so again.
